Frequently asked questions
How many students can be in an online course?
Group online courses (eshop)
The capacity is a maximum of 8 students, but the usual course occupancy is around 4 people. These are language courses where students are assigned according to their language skills. During teaching, we follow a standard and proven study plan.
Individual course (poptávkový formulář)
In “one-on-one” teaching, the tutor focuses only on you. An individual course is still the most popular and effective form of online courses.
Group of friends/colleagues (poptávkový formulář)
Individual courses can be customized and the number of participants expanded up to 2-4 students. Often these are groups of friends or colleagues who know each other and agree together on a study plan.
Who leads the online learning?
All our tutors have talent and experience in distance language teaching, whether they are Czechs or native speakers.
Is the course taught by a tutor or a robot?
We exclusively offer courses with real tutors who will teach you in real time. We do not offer pre-recorded videos, clickable links to grammar exercises, or conversation with so-called “chatbots.” Our tutors will correct you if necessary, recommend study materials, and, most importantly, motivate you.
How does it work with textbooks for online learning?
Information about textbooks can be found in the course details in the e-shop. Textbooks are not needed for conversation courses, but they are for most other courses. If you buy an e-textbook, we will send it to you by email a few days before the course starts.
Is online learning fully fledged?
Yes. You will save a lot of time that you would otherwise spend commuting to the classroom and back. Ideally, you will dedicate that time to further study of the target language. Because online learning takes place in real time with a tutor and other students, interaction with others is also a part of the course.
What should I do if I don't believe that online learning is effective?
Try a free trial lesson. Sign up for a course and write “trial lesson” in the notes. If you are not satisfied after the first lesson, you do not have to pay anything.
