English conversation with a native speaker – children in grades 3-7
The aim of the course is to get children speaking. A native English speaker will persuade children to actively use their vocabulary. Children learn to express themselves in English, even if they don’t know all the words, and get rid of shyness in speaking a foreign language.
English for children in grades 3-5
The aim of the course is to expand basic English skills acquired at school. The teacher reinforces the children’s knowledge of grammar and expands their vocabulary. Emphasis is placed on the ability to form simple English sentences and answer questions.
English conversation for TEENAGERS
The aim of the course is to get students speaking. Because children at this age tend to have a relatively good vocabulary, the teacher focuses on its activation in speaking. The course is conducted by a native speaker, and children get to learn something about the setting in which English is used.

Students rate us favourably
We are perfectly satisfied with this language school. The group in class is small, the teacher Mo Awobo is friendly, kind and funny, and can hold the attention of even small children (although she doesn’t speak any Czech).
Věra F.
The teacher is amazing! My daughter comes home from class delighted, there is nothing to criticise. She will definitely continue the course next year. I wish you more teachers like this!

Frequently asked questions
Are lessons from home or group courses at the branch better?
We have group courses in English for children from third grade. Learning from home is better for smaller children or if you have specific requirements, e.g. preparing for high school acceptance exams.
How can small children learn a foreign language?
We learn our own language from birth, and in the end we all manage. We teach children from the very youngest age. Our age groups are designed for children from 3rd grade.
How long is one lesson?
Group lessons for children last 60 minutes, lessons for teenagers last 75 minutes. If the teacher sees that the children are losing focus, they add a fun activity or game in the target language.
Is a Czech teacher or native speaker better?
A Czech teacher can explain grammar using examples in Czech, and translate a new word quickly if necessary. A native speaker is an authentic user of the language and 100% of communication is conducted in the foreign language. In most cases, we recommend native speakers to teach children’s courses.
Do you use textbooks in the courses?
We do not use textbooks in conversation courses, but in other courses we use textbooks designated for the given age group and language level. You can find the used textbook in the course details in the e-shop, and order it when purchasing the course.

Teachers
Lessons are conducted by qualified teachers with experience in education. We choose our teachers carefully, work with them and continuously educate them. We know that students learn foreign languages better if they enjoy the lessons and look forward to them.
The basis of a good lesson is always a good teacher.
In the details of every language course in the e-shop, you will find the teacher that conducts the course. We provide their full name, a brief profile and information as to whether they are a native speaker or Czech teacher.
At present, we have about 300 teachers from 25 countries around the world on our team. Language studies can thus be an interesting cultural experience.
Our primary goal:
Teachers who will really TEACH YOU TO LOVE LANGUAGES.
Textbooks
We use modern textbooks for all our general language courses. For textbook courses, the course details in the e-shop feature a drop-down study curriculum broken down into individual weeks. This will help you determine whether the given course is right for you. You can also check the curriculum if you miss a lesson, to find out which material you should catch up on.
You can order and purchase course textbooks in the e-shop and at our office at Nám. Míru 15 or Náměstí Na Santince 2, always from Mon – Fri from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You can pick up textbooks ordered via the e-shop at these two branches. The other branches only house classrooms without administrative services.
For conversation courses, we do not use textbooks and the discussed topics are agreed with the teacher at the start of the lesson.

Placement Tests
Use the online placement tests to determine your language level.
Once you complete the test, we will automatically send you an evaluation of the questions, the achieved language level and overview of courses corresponding to your skills. The test results are to a certain extent approximate, because the test only assesses grammar and vocabulary.
If the chosen course does not precisely correspond to your language level, you can switch to a different course free of charge at any time during the semester.
We will be happy to advise you in choosing a course based on your language level. The contact details are at the bottom of the page.
